Audi Plans Without New Gasoline And Diesel Models From 2026
According to a report, the car company Audi has set a date for the last introduction of new combustion models.
CEO Markus Duesmann told works councils and top managers today that no new petrol and diesel models would be presented from 2026 onwards, nor would any hybrid versions, reported the “Süddeutsche Zeitung” (Friday edition).
The last premiere of a combustion engine will be a Q model, i.e. an urban SUV that will be sold until around 2033, the newspaper continued. After that, Audi wants to sell only battery vehicles worldwide. The familiar A3 and A4 models were no longer to have direct successors, but were to be completely redesigned and renamed.
