Congo Floods and landslides have claimed 21 lives in the past two days in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The eastern regions of the country were subjected to heavy rains that resulted in landslides and floods, and the majority of the victims (13 dead) fell inside an irregular gold mine located in the town of Rubaya in Masisi province, according to what security sources revealed.

For his part, the official in an association concerned with irregular miners, Jean-Paul Barendikii, noted that those who were killed were diggers who were in wells, and others who were in the vicinity of the place.
