The Frankfurt airport operator Fraport continued to feel the slump in air traffic in July despite the recently relaxed travel regulations. Both at Germany’s largest airport and at its airports abroad, the number of passengers last month was only a fraction of the previous year’s level, according to statistics available on the Group’s website on Wednesday. Compared to the two previous months, however, the situation improved somewhat.
The number of passengers at Frankfurt Airport fell by 81.0 percent to a good 1.3 million compared to the same period in the previous year. In April, May and June the decline had been more than 90 percent.
