The British singer Adele last announced her new album for November, and the first song from it – “Easy on Me” – was released overnight.
The piano ballad is the first new song since their hit album “25” from 2015.
On YouTube, the video “Easy on-Me” was clicked more than 20 million times in the first 12 hours after its publication, Sony Music announced this morning. Directed by the Canadian filmmaker Xavier Dolan (32), who also shot the clip for Adele’s hit “Hello”.
The video begins in an empty house in the country. The musician looks out the window again, takes her suitcase and leaves. In her car she puts a cassette in the player that says “Easy on Me”.
In an interview with Vogue magazine a week ago, Adele said that “Easy on Me” was the first song on the new album that she had written. That was 2018 – she was 30 then; hence the album title. “When I was 30, my life fell apart without warning.” The new album “30” is due to be released on November 19th.
