Egypt Exports Jump 30% To $15.5 Billion In 5 Months
Italy came on top of the list of the top ten importing countries from Egypt during the first 5 months of this year, where the value of Egypt’s exports recorded $948.1 million.
Recent official data revealed that the value of Egyptian exports to the countries of the world increased during the first 5 months of this year to record about 15.5 billion dollars, compared to 11.9 billion dollars during the same period in 2020, an increase of about 30.1%.
According to the data of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics in Egypt, Italy came on top of the list of the top ten importing countries from Egypt during the first 5 months of this year, as the value of Egypt’s exports to it reached $948.1 million, followed by Egypt’s exports to the United States of America with a value of 881.5 Million dollars.
Saudi Arabia came in third place with exports amounting to about $876.4 million, then India with $831.4 million, followed by Turkey with exports worth about $803.4 million, then Greece with $665.1 million, then China with $546.1 million, then Spain with $525.7 million, then the UAE $465.3 million, and finally the United Kingdom $455.1 million.
These countries accounted for about 45.2% of the total value of Egyptian exports during the first 5 months of this year.
Petroleum products ranked first in the list of the ten most important commodities exported by Egypt to various countries of the world during the first 5 months of this year, with the value of Egypt’s exports reaching about $2.3 billion, and crude oil exports came in second place with a value of $813.9 million, then fresh fruits with a value of about $813.9 million. $775.6 million, followed by ready-to-wear with $720.9 million. These commodities represented about 44% of the total value of Egyptian exports during the first 5 months of this year.
