Nicknamed “Hurricane”, Julie Hawkins (105 years old) has set a world record for running.

The retired teacher, Julie Hawkins, is 105 years old and was able to be the first female athlete to complete the 100m race in this age group.
The world record moment came from Julie Hawkins during the Louisiana Games for adults. Hawkins, a 101-year-old runner, crossed the 100m in 1 minute and 3 seconds.
When asked how Jolie felt after finishing the race and setting a record, she said, “It feels great, I’m so happy.”
When asked what is the benefit to society from this record, she replied, “To keep you healthy keep running, I will keep running for as long as possible, I find it fun and I love to do it.”

It is not the first time Hawkins has been a record breaker. In 2017, she set the 100 meter world record for women over the age of 100 with a time of 39:62.
