New Alamein city is being built in one of the northwestern regions of Egypt, on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, the historical region that witnessed one of the fiercest battles of the Second World War. The Egyptians turned from minefields and war remnants into heaven on earth.
New Alamien city is considered among the national projects launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
In less than 3 years, the desert area, which people were afraid to approach because of the mines left by the Second World War, has turned into a city that is destined to be one of the most beautiful and modern cities on the planet, through the mega projects underway that the Egyptian Ministry of Housing has started, in addition to the projects Several, ranging from residential, educational, industrial and investment.
The area of the city is 50 thousand acres, with a depth of more than 60 km south of the coastal strip. The city is planned to accommodate more than 3 million people. The city is divided into several stages.
The first phase in the city is divided into two main sectors, with an area of about 8,000 acres, to include 400,000 residents.
The first phase consists of a coastal sector, divided into an international tourism center and an archaeological sector, in addition to an urban sector.
The new city of El Alamein is located within the administrative boundaries of Marsa Matrouh Governorate, with a length of 48 km from the international road (Alexandria – Matrouh).
The city is divided into tourist, historical and residential segment.
The first investment tourism segment is located on the Mediterranean coast, the second investment segment is located south of the Alexandria Matrouh International Road, and the third segment is the historical and archaeological area of El Alamein cemeteries.
Despite the Corona pandemic, work in the city did not stop day and night, while following precautionary measures for workers, in order to complete the first phase in 2021, so that the city opens its arms to the world.
