Creator of the character Dona Hermínia and one of the most popular and admired comedians in Brazil, he has been hospitalized since March 13. On Sunday, hours after waking up and interacting with his husband, the actor suffered an embolism, from which he was unable to recover.

Through a message to close friends, the dermatologist Thales Bretas, husband of Paulo Gustavo since 2015, commented on the death of the beloved. The actor and comedian died on Tuesday (4/5) after a long struggle against the covid-19. According to Correio Braziliense

“Our beloved has eternalized himself as the star he is. It will shine up there now, after shining so much around here. We are processing all of this. But God will show us the purpose. Beside Bretas, Paulo Gustavo had two children, twins Gael and Romeu, who were born in 2019.
