Alyssa Milano’s Hairstylist Reveals the Exact Products She Uses for Her Thinning Hair.

People – Alyssa Milano has been vocal about her recent struggles with hair loss, which she attributes to being a “long-hauler” of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Back in August, the Charmed alum, 47, uploaded a video to her Instagram and Twitter accounts demonstrating the amount of hair that falls out when she uses a detangler brush after showering. “One brushing, this is my hair loss,” she said in the footage while holding up a clump of hair.

Most information surrounding COVID-19 long-haulers is preliminary and still being studied by experts, but currently, medical professionals are using the term to describe those who have lingering COVID-19 symptoms months after their initial diagnosis. Along with Milano, other long-haulers have reported hair loss as one of their ongoing symptoms. According to a non-peer-reviewed symptom survey conducted in July 2020 by Natalie Lambert, PhD, of the Indiana University School of Medicine, 423 out of 1,567 COVID-19 survivors who participated in the survey listed hair loss as a symptom.

Like most people, celebrity hairstylist Linh Nguyen found out via Twitter that Alyssa Milano was dealing with hair loss.
