Tornado Warning For The Northern Columbus
A tornado warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday after rotation was spotted in a storm near Powell, Ohio.
The warning includes northeastern Franklin County, southeastern Delaware County and western Licking County, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, Ohio.
Included in the warning are Columbus, Newark, Westerville, Gahanna, Heath, Granville, Pataskala, Johnstown, Sunbury, Buckeye Lake, Hebron, Granville South, Beechwood Trails, Polaris, New Albany, Jersey, Galena, Kirkersville, Alexandria and Hartford, according to the National Weather Service.
The warning is in effect until at least 6 p.m. after weather radar indicated rotation in a thunderstorm moving southeast from Powell, Ohio at 45 miles per hour, the National Weather Service reports.

In addition to the Tornado Warning, Flash Flood Warnings remain in effect until at least 6:00 p.m. as the result of Monday’s storms in Northeast Ohio:
