Álvaro Uribe Vélez is a Colombian politician who served as the 31st President of Colombia from 7 August 2002 to 7 August 2010.

Following this decision, the Democratic Center bench announced an emergency meeting to analyze said resolution.

The details of the Court’s decision are not yet known. In any case, their sending to a place of confinement is ruled out, which opens the way to eventual house arrest.
After learning of the decision, President Iván Duque came to the defense of Uribe and spoke of freedom and guarantees.
